BBA German Exchange 2025

 On Saturday, we met in Obertürkheim to do a scavenger hunt that Frau Kellar had set up for us. We worked in teams (Germans and Americans together) and followed clues to solve a mystery. The scavenger hunt was a lot of fun and we ended up in Untertürkheim at Wiggy! (We were all so focused on the clues that no one remembered to take pictures!) At Wiggy, we learned how to make Spätzle the real way - Spätzle schaben - instead of using a press. Frau Mayer, who works in the office at the school, was kind enough to take her Saturday to teach us.  We met at our regular time at school, but we did not go to classes - instead, we got on a train and went to Ludwigsburg. We had a guided tour of the Ludwigsburg palace - the incredible thing about the palace is that everything inside is original - wall paintings, chandeliers, furniture.                                Then we spent some time exploring in the gardens. There are many amazing flower displays - and there is also a whole Märchengarten (fairy tale garden) section. 

 We went to school with our students up through the 5th block. The first presentations were given in one of the English classes - Belle and Ruby presented about BBA and Aleks presented about clubs at BBA. Most of us ate lunch at the school (it was delicious Gnocchi) - some of us went into Untertürkheim to get a Döner for lunch.         Then we met and walked along the Neckar river to the Mercedes Museum. We spent a couple of hours at the museum and then walked back to the school.
